Safety + Support + Success
Regional Offices of Education are essential to support offices partnering with the Illinois State Board of Education to support local school districts. The offices perform regulatory functions as directed by the Illinois School Code to provide safety, support, and success to local school districts. Vervocity worked with R.O.E. #1, which includes the counties of Adams, Brown, Cass, Morgan, Pike, and Scott in Illinois on the creation of a new website for the area. The goals for this website were to make it easy to update, provide ADA compliance, create mobile responsiveness, build an online calendar for professional development, including the ability to schedule fingerprinting appointments online, and make forms available for download.

Easy to Use CMS
Vervocity created custom features in the Content Management System or CMS that make it easy for R.O.E. #1 to update the information in the admin section of the website and the content will auto-populate the public-facing side of the website. This creates a way to make the website look consistent and doesn’t require the client to learn web design or coding. We made sure the look and the feel of the website were fluid from desktop to laptop to mobile device … something known as responsive design. Vervocity performed the best practices for online calendar will allow for R.O.E. #1 to post events with and without registration. For each event, the client will be able to add the details about the event including relevant flyers. We added booking functionality that allows a person to go to the new website and see available times and to schedule their appointment for fingerprinting. And lastly, we added functionality to allow R.O.E. #1 to either embed a PDF on a page or allow for a visitor to download the document as the download feature is not restricted to just PDFs.
