SENSE OF FAMILY
When the Tracy Family Foundation met with Vervocity to discuss videography for the Brown County Early Learning Center (BCELC), we knew we needed to effectively portray their vision for exceptional care at a high-quality, affordable center for children. The Brown County Early Learning Center, generously funded by the Tracy Family Foundation and operated by the YMCA of West Central Illinois, is a learning center that encourages the academic, social, and emotional development of infant through preK children. They strive to create a work environment where passion meets purpose and wanted to show potential employees BCELC is more than a job; it’s a place where staff feel like family.
With their videos, we wanted to portray BCELC as a great employer, but we needed to do more than list employee benefits to encourage applications. We provided a behind-the-scenes look into the center and showcased real stories from people who work there. The videos introduce the interviewees before transitioning into footage of an average day and staff interacting with children. As a result, we captured the authenticity of BCELC to show it truly is a place where employees enrich lives and feel genuinely supported.
HIGHER LEARNING
Along with a general employment overview, BCELC wanted to focus on its commitment to providing every employee with access to scholarship opportunities for higher learning. Their support of higher education sets them apart from other employers, and the second employee recruitment video highlights their encouragement for employee development.
Together with BCELC, we decided to take a more informational approach for the continuing education video. Employee testimonials and a calming narrator explain examples of scholarship opportunities and answer questions applicants may have about educational requirements. We used personal experience and a supportive tone of voice to encourage anyone with a passion for childcare to apply.
