THE PEOPLE
The Quincy Art Center has celebrated visual art since 1923. As a not-profit art museum in Quincy’s beautiful East End Historical District, they create opportunities for the community to experience, make, and share art, free and open to everyone.
The heart of the Art Center lives in its people, and they wanted to highlight their mission of connecting people to art in action. Our photographer went on-site during the Joe Conover Retrospective Exhibit to capture staff members interacting with patrons and genuine moments of connection happening naturally throughout the space.
Our focus was to photograph movement and emotion as people engaged with the art and each other.
THE PLACE
The Quincy Art Center building combines historic and modern architecture, with a carriage house built in 1887 and a modern wing added in 1990. We photographed both the distinctive exterior and the spaces inside where art comes to life.
Capturing the full character of the building establishes a sense of place. The building itself becomes part of the experience, and the photos give potential visitors a visual preview of what to expect when stepping inside. We highlighted the characteristics that make the location special while showing how the setting adds to the overall atmosphere.
The Art Center now has a collection of professional photos they can use across multiple marketing channels. Their visuals tell a story of connection, allowing audiences to see and feel what it means to be part of an organization devoted to bringing people and art together.
